I just purchased 75102 and 75104 at shopforme.com.au @ 20% off. But it seems that info has already been posted…

The Lego Shop website is not being particularly responsive for me at the moment, so I can’t verify any of the RRPs from Lego for sets you currently have listed. However, I can see on http://shop.lego.com/en-AU/Star-Wars-ByTheme that they have the prices for the Constraction Figures up (not sure if these are available in retail stores yet though, Outer Rim doesn’t currently have them listed). Jango, Cody and Luke are 29.99, Obi-wan is 39.99, and Vader and Grievous are 49.99 RRP.

I saw the new X-Wing at Big W (Canberra) for $115 and First Order Transporter for $138. No other sets there as yet.

I thought it was is a little weird that Outer Rim Trading Co has the snowspeeder listed as $10 higher than other retailers, as he is usually pretty good on price for all his stock. However, it could be the case that the RRP is actually $69.99 and everyone else has discounted it. I double checked with him, and he told me that he is still waiting on official RRPs from Lego, but if it turns out that the RRP is cheaper, than he will refund the difference on any sales.

Myer had all of the sets in the stock and on the shelves @ 10AM this morning. Full RRP unfortunately. I purchased Poe’s X-wing anyway after the shambolic experience @ Toys R Us midnight madness. Its probably worth trying to get them to price match Shopforme 20% discounted prices.

Myer Eastland VIC. On a side note for all you Star Wars fans the Spheros remote controlled BB-8 is available online from JB Hi Fi. If you haven’t seen this Google it, its the coolest Star Wars toy available from the company that worked with Lucasfilm on the actual BB-8! It will sell out very quick!

The major store-front retailers don’t usually price match the online specialised retailers

      • Mark Reply

But Shopforme have two bricks & mortar retail outlets so the majors would have a hard time playing the “we don’t match online prices” on that one.

How much of a sh*t show was Toys R Us? I even took my 6 year old along and no new lego. A little heads up would have saved them a lot of PR fail. All those dedicated fans, all very disappointed.

It’s a complete bust in Launceston – not a single new set at Myer, Target, Kmart or Toyworld. WTH? Off to Shopforme I go…

Helensvale Target all the Force Awakens sets at the online price. No construct-a-figures.

After attending a very disappointing Force Friday at Toys R Us, I have just called them and spoke to a very nice girl. She has informed me that all their new sets are in transit and will be on shelves late Tuesday afternoon or Early Wednesday morning. Means I’ll be holding off til then since it will still be in their Buy one Get one 50% off promotional period and as an added bonus if you spend over $100 on Star Wars product you get a $10 coupon to spend for purchases after 16th September.

  11. Mark Reply

Yeah I got told that too. But, as an example, all suburban Melbourne Toys R Us stores are only getting 12 Poe’s X-wings (except Chadstone who are getting 18). It is likely they will sell them to the first person who walks in the door when the stock hits the floor. I wasn’t prepared to take the risk. I genuinely hope you manage to get what you want but Toys R Us are done in my book!

Big W is price matching any of the prices above as long as the store has a shopfront also, ie. not just on line. They seem to have reasonable stock levels also.

  13. mike Reply

I just asked my Big W in the ACT and they won’t price match as the physical stores are in VIC. They say to compete it needs to be within NSW. Dang!

  14. JigglePhysx Reply

Just noticed that the new Force Awakens sets have gone up on the Toys R Us website for preorder, they are eligible for the buy 1 get one half price too.

Well that was quite an experience for us all wasn’t it. I can only assume that Disney are in fact marketing geniuses and have created a global, theatrical, shopping experience. Anticipation led to anger, anger to desperation, desperation to hope and hope to joy as we collectively went through the stages of consumerism and came out the other end unscathed.

Perhaps an extended metaphor for the narrative of the new movie?

Perhaps a homage to the Christmas of 1977 when kids were sold empty boxes and a promise of Star Wars figures?

Or perhaps just a total cluster&@&! where none of the stores had enough stock and none of the events were planned well ( although it was wonderful watching the security guards at highpoint angry and confused as to why people were running between stores at midnight, I kid you not they had no idea what was happening and actually had indoor construction worked planned at the time)

Congrats to anyone who got what they were looking for and good luck to anyone still looking. I’m sitting here putting grey hair on Han Solo and so for now, all is right with the world 🙂

I am hoping for a Myer 20% off shortly – and hopefully by then they will have the stock – they are also meant to be a re-seller for the BB-A http://www.sphero.com/retail-partners – I called them today to see if they are buying them (really hope so, especially in time for a 20% discount if considered a toy – rather than electronics).

I must admit, I only want the x wing, tie fighter and the snowspeeder (will probably get a Darth character to have a look at). I expect these to be on the shelves for a while, so no real rush. Tbh, I am also waiting for the 20% at Myer for the Imperial shuttle.

Anyone knows how long the sale is for at shopforme.com.au? Anyone has experience buying from them?

    • Mark Reply

I’m guessing once Shopforme run out of stock the sale will finish so it could be any time. As for buying from them they are reputable. In my experience though it takes a while to get what you ordered, even when you select to pick up in store. You can’t simply order it and go in that day.

    • Angela Reply

I placed my first order with them 3 weeks ago and half the order turned up today, despite the shipping conformation stating all items had shipped…probably won’t be buying again unless there’s a compelling sale.

  18. Darren Reply

Just bought Rey’s Speeder and the Tie Fighter from Shopforme.com.au Have bought many times from them before and never an issue. Still a lot quicker and cheaper than from the Lego.com site.
