It is looking like this weekend could be the perfect storm of LEGO offers at Big W.
They are advertising 20% off LEGO on Saturday November 18th and Sunday November 19th. Both online and in-store.
With Big W’s already lower than RRP prices on most sets, a 20% off sale works out to be great value.
What might push you over the edge is that there is a supposed Family & Friends sale on too. This doesn’t appear to be advertised on the Big W website at all but the flyer (linked below) has been doing the rounds online. It could be a fake but doesn’t seem like it.
Assuming that the offers stack you should get 28% off Big W prices. This could be an expensive weekend.
For the Family and Friends sale you will need to scan the barcode or use FF10 online. The 20% off sale doesn’t require any work from you.
Thanks for this! The FF10 code worked perfectly and I have picked up some Classic boxes for my nephew and nieces Christmas presents and some great City sets for myself at the 28% off.
I noticed some sets on the Big W website didn’t have the 20% sale applied to them but they were sets that already were heavily discounted such as some of the City sets that are $29.95 RRP but already down to $20 regularly. But I checked and the FF10 code still applied to them so you could still get another 10% off the below RRP price.
UCS Snowspeeder sold out online but went into local store at CHARLESTOWN and picked one up for just under $215. There were 9 in stock, You will have to ask at lay by it’s not out on shelves.

Thank you as always for your commitment to posting about sales. You saved me a bomb and I am pleasantly broke with a UCS Snowspeeder in hand at 35% off retail! If anyone is searching in Brisbane – Brookside BigW has a lot available they are out the back at Lay-by – along with a whole bunch of the big sets that are not even listed on the shelves. There are even some of the new Ninjago Movie sets that were not supposed to release until 1 December – Cole’s Mech anyone (36% off retail)!
Used the code twice today instore.
Second time round one of the more ‘switched-on’ girls mentioned to my cashier that they werent supposed to do it… but my transaction was already getting processed.
She let it go through, i said nothing and was polite as. So some cashiers might not like it instore as ive experienced it.
Least i got my remaining speed champion sets.
Strange, I used it twice today too. The second time the lady at the registers actually scanned the code herself and said “Inadded an extra 10% off for you”. My local shopping centre’s Facebook page was advertising the F&F sale too.
The same thing happened for me yesterday too. The cashier added the F&F discount without prompting. My friend who went to the register next me didn’t get it applied though. I guess it all depends on who is working the register.

Maybe there was a communication issue between stores and even between staff in stores, as it seems we’ve all had slightly different experiences. For me, I actually had forgot about the extra 10% and was fortunate to have a very lovely check out assistant who made sure she got a leaflet with the code on, applied it and the sent me on my way with the leaflet and let me know I could reuse it as often as I wanted throughout the day.
Big W Altona Meadows has the Porsche 911 for $318 at the lay buy counter. If you can get the extra 10% off that’s an insane price.
Very hard decision to walk away. I had to tell myself “I don’t need another one”, and “that’s $300 towards the UCS Millennium Falcon”.
Oops. I saw your article but was rushing out the door for the day and didn’t read it properly. Only read the 20% off. I have been waiting for the Destiny’s Bounty. I quickly jumped online and bought it along with three elves sets. I didn’t realise about the F&F discount until I saw your article again later and was kicking myself that I hadn’t finished reading the article!! Oh well, I got the sets that I wanted at a price that I was happy with at the time!! They were gone from the website when I looked later. Love your website 🙂
Went out yesterday to get Destiny’s Bounty, saw my local Big W had Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ also. With the F&F voucher I walked out with both for $506, nearly $250 of RRP!
