On Sale: 20% Off At Toys R Us

What do you do if you are a store and everybody is saying that you are doomed? You try and get people through the door, and a 20% off everything sale is a pretty good way to do that.

Toys R Us have just pushed out an email promising 20% off all full priced items. This offer starts online now and will be in-store on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (March 16 – 18).

Toys R Us 20 percent off March 2018

This is perfect timing as Toys R Us have also just started free shipping on items over $130.

To take advantage of the offer you’ll need the barcode above in-store or use the code SAVENOW online.

What happened to the January wave of Lego Batman? It disappeared from the shelves in no time and hasn’t reappeared. Are they trying to avoid over-stocking, clashing with other movie tie-ins, or was it just a very limited release?

Hadn’t noticed that myself Dave but now you mention it you’re right, they didn’t seem to linger on shelves. It could be as you suggest they didn’t want to over stock, due to previous sets performance, or it could have been one of those random waves which for whatever reason is limited over here. Jurassic world was notoriously limited and I remember the wave for the final Hobbit film flew off shelves so quick that some believe they were never here at all. Hope you managed to pick up any you wanted, the Bat shuttle in particular is great.

We all know that Toys R Us will close all its US store. So the future of TRS in Australia is unknown. This may have an impact on the stock level on TRS at the moment.

I’m not surprised, they’re hardly competitive with their pricing. The new store in Toowoomba has been dead since it opened.

I’ve been meaning to check it out, its been dead because of no advertising, I didn’t even know it was there un-til I drove by a week or so ago!!…but why waste fuel when I can get free shipping 🙂 🙂 :).

Before you buy, please make sure you compare their price with official Lego Shop Price. The Ninjago garmadon, Garmadon, GARMADON! has a RRP of $139.99, TRS is selling at $159.99. Ninjago Piranha Attack has a RRP of $29.99, TRS is selling at $39.99. A f***king rip off. Even after 20%, the Piranha Attack still is more expensive than its RRP. Please be aware!!!!

Thanks so much for the tip off, I managed to get Ninjago City (delivered today). I notice though that the box art is slightly different to that on the Lego site (there is no set title or piece count on the front or side). First time I’ve noticed different boxes, presumably for different markets or resellers. Is this common?

Well I’m PO’d, ordered my Ninjago city pretty early on in the sale and my order is going to be refunded >:( This happen to anyone else with the swts that sold out?
