21311 Voltron Officially Announced

It feels like a lifetime ago that the LEGO Ideas Voltron project passed review. Now, finally, the final set is due to be released.

Introducing 21311 Voltron

Coming in at 2,321 pieces this is the biggest buildable LEGO mech ever.

Of course Voltron isn’t just a big mech, Voltron is comprised of 5 lions, each of which is fully recreated here. That’s right – you build all 5 lions and then combine them just like you’d hope for with a Voltron set.

As well the lions you also get Voltron’s sword and shield.

I admit that I am not overly familiar with the IP but I think this looks great. I’m tempted to catch up on the Netflix series now.

The set will be released to VIPs on Monday 23rd July. For everybody else it will go on sale August 1st. The Australian RRP is $289.99.

  2. Tushkie says:

Cant wait to get my hands on this

  3. Xavier says:

I like it too just not sure I like it at $290

  4. Louise says:

The merging of two of my son’s favourite things and released just before his birthday?! The Lego gods are indeed smiling upon us : )

    • Sam says:

Apologies. This is the most expensive LEGO Ideas set ever!!! I was not expecting Voltron on such a large scale. I was expecting a $100-$150 product. To be double that amount at $290AUD is barely enticing at 30% off. Don’t get me wrong, it looks great but nearly $300 on a mech is hard to swallow.

      • Both the Mack Truck and the Voltron set have the same RRP in the US yet the Australian RRP for the Voltron set is $40 more than for the Mack Truck. Definitely not as interested in it as I would have been if the RRP wasn’t such a rip-off.
