Boxing Day 2019 Round-up

Boxing Day isn’t usually the best day for LEGO sales. Retailers generally choose to discount boring stuff like clothes and homewares. They probably figure that with Santa giving out so many toys yesterday that’s not what people are looking to buy. Thankfully there are still some sales.

Here’s what I’ve found:

Amazon – Various [affiliate links]

  1. Technic, Ninjago & Overwatch
  2. Star Wars & Marvel
  3. DUPLO, Friends, Juniors & Toy Story 4
  4. City & Creator

David Jones – 20% off selected

While DJs usually offers a flat discount on everything this time they are doing 20% off a range of sets.

Myer – 50% off second item [affiliate link]

If you have a few things to get this Myer offer is pretty appealing. Get 50% off your second item when you buy two or more LEGO sets. Standard exclusions seem to apply.

Toys R Us – Selected sets on sale

A range of sets are reduced. No flat percentage off so some stuff will be better value than others.

Picked up a retail fresh Brick Bank from Games World today at 20% off – fair enough too given the dusty top of the box 🙂 (plus a Parisian Cafe and Detectives Office from Myer pre-Christmas)… not a bad hat trick.

I did stumble across half price Mr and Mrs Claus Brickheadz at Coles in South Australia . $14. Worth ringing around.

Was going to investigate 42109 Top Gear Rally Car but sadly Sariel gave it a poor review, so perhaps 42099 Off-roader might be a better option. I noticed amazon have this listed today at $225, which is around 40% off, but don’t have stock.

PS amazon is also now listing the Bugatti at $398 and Assembly Square at $342, also without stock. Fingers crossed that these might be placeholders for future “special” listings?
