Check Out These Sets Coming In 2018

LEGO have updated their servers with images of some of the sets that will be released in 2017. There’s Creator, Technic and City sets to check out. With the images of these already online it’s likely that these are all January release sets but that hasn’t been confirmed. No pricing as yet.

Creator

31071 Drone Explorer – 109 pieces

Interesting subject for a set. It seems to be a piloted drone, but there is no minifigure included. Alternate builds are a plane and airboat.

grandparentsday_articlepage_desktop3

There are some conditions to this offer – it’s tomorrow (October 29th) only, you need to be a Toys R Us VIP member and you have to present the barcode. The voucher also states that this is only for grandparents, so if you are young looking you may be out of luck depending on how strictly stores enforce this.

LEGO Giveaway Suggestions – Help Pick The Top 5 Ideas

sophia-cu-with-chat

All the way back on October 3rd I posted a form for you to enter your suggestions for possible LEGO giveaways.

I have collated all of the different answers and created one final list. You can now help select the final top 5 suggestions that will be passed on to LEGO.

This poll is open until October 30th so that I can get LEGO the results before November 1st.

There are quite a few different suggestions to look at, so I have included a link rather than embedding the form. You can find the survey here.

On Sale: $10 Off For Every $50 Spent At Myer

Myer Logo Generic 200px

I’m officially renaming Wednesday to Myer Offer Day.

Sure enough it’s Wednesday morning and we have a new sale on at Myer, but this one isn’t quite a 20% off sale.

From today until 11:59pm AEDT Sunday 29th October Myer are offering $10 off for every $50 spent. No mention of this being online only or in-store too.

This might sound like 20% but it’s one of those sneaky sales where if you spend $90 you only get $10 off still. To take full advantage of the offer you need to spend in a multiple of $50.

Don’t forget to check their eBay store for an actual 20% off sale.

You can check out the Myer online range here.

WB Games Confirms No Further Development of LEGO Dimensions

When E3 came and went with no new LEGO Dimensions packs announced a lot of people took that as a sign that the game had reached a dead end. Today, the LEGO Dimensions twitter page confirmed the news.

There will be no further updates, products or expansions for LEGO Dimensions.

LEGO Dimensions Ending

As the image above states – your game will not stop working. The servers will continue to run and any products currently in the market will be supported.

LEGO Dimensions was a late-comer to the “Toys To Life” gaming genre, and that may have been part of it’s downfall. People had already grown weary of games that required you to buy expensive toys to get the full experience.

One thing the game will certainly be remembered for is being responsible for some great LEGO minifigures that surely would never have existed outside of the game. There is now an official LEGO Mr T minifigure. That’s crazy.

I never played the game myself, but I know there are plenty of you out there who did. Will you miss the game or has it run it’s course?

On Sale: 20% Off At Myer eBay, 10% Off The Rest of eBay

eBay 200

Some new eBay offers have gone live today.

20% off Myer eBay

The Myer eBay store doesn’t have the most extensive range of LEGO but it’s worth checking out for 20% off. They usually have some slightly older stock that may not be as easy to find in-store.

To take advantage of this offer enter code P20MYER at checkout.

Max discount per transaction is $500 with a limit of 3 transactions per person. This offer excludes gift cards & postage. This sale runs until 11:59 PM on October 30th.

10% Off at eBay

If you have your eye on an item that Myer doesn’t stock then unfortunately you will have to settle for 10% off. This is a generic code with no specific end date.

The code you’ll need is PERK10.

Head over to eBay and look around, you might find something to get. As always remember that eBay is an open marketplace and people don’t always charge RRP.
