On Sale: 20% Off At Target

Target 200x200

Target has been quiet in the Toy Sale battle so far – because they don’t really do a big toy sale any more. But with the school holidays happening they just couldn’t stay out of the fight completely.

From tomorrow (June 27th) until July 17th you can get 20% off all LEGO. With some regular prices at Target below RRP it’s worth checking out.

The catalogue also features a range of sets highlighted. Some appear to be more than the advertised 20% off. You can check out that list below.

Free Year of The Pig Set Available At Myer

I was sure that I had posted this earlier but it seems that it slipped through.

If you spend $88 or more on LEGO you will receive the awesome Year of The Pig promotional set to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

myer-year-of-the-pig

This promotional set may not be the Chinese New Year set that people are really craving but I think it’s pretty cute.

The offer runs while stocks last.

You can check out Myer’s LEGO range here.

Thanks to everybody who emailed me about this.

Unikitty Gets Her Own Theme, Including Unfeelable Bags

One of the most fun characters from the original LEGO Movie was Princess Unikitty. A character who now has her own Cartoon Network show, and now a LEGO theme to go with it.

The sets are very strange looking but they seem to match the aesthetic of the show quite well. Generally they aren’t something that I can see myself buying, but I don’t have any issue with them existing.

The Collectible Unikitty Series though is absolutely terrible and I am not a fan at all. Why? Because from the initial pictures none of the blind bags contain unique elements. Feeling out the one you want is going to be impossible. You can distinguish between the Unikitty and Puppycorn ones but that’s it.

41775 Collectable Unikitty Series 1

I don’t like the idea of a child ending up with 10 of the same Unikitty. The Collectable Minifigures already walked a fine line but I think this takes the concept too far.

You can see the rest of the sets below.

February Set Price Battle: Who’s Got The Cheapest Everyday Prices

January 2018 Price Battle

Back in January I compiled a detailed list of the everyday prices for the new release sets and you all seemed to find that helpful. So today I have trawled through the retailer website to compile a list for the February releases.

These are the stores everyday prices and don’t factor in any sales. There doesn’t actually seem to be any sales on at the moment anyway.

A lot of these sets aren’t showing up on the retailer websites unless you specifically search for them so unfortunately I can’t provide a direct link to each one.

Once again Kmart rocks the pricing. Their prices are either cheapest or equal cheapest for 40 out of the 48 sets on the list. Big W does get in a few great prices. Unfortunately for anybody with only a Target nearby their prices are not amazing.

Here is the important information, the list with the best price for each set. If you scroll right down to the end of the article there is also a full list of prices rather than just the best ones.

2017 Toy Sales – All The Deals From Myer

Toy Sale Retailer Myer

Period: June 13 – July 16 2016

Big Ticket Items: Assembly Square, Death Star

Christmas Lay-by: TBC

Other Payment Options: Afterpay

View catalogue

Myer is the first retailer to go live with their 2017 Toy Sale, but generally the deals on offer are a little underwhelming. At this stage I can’t find any information about Christmas Lay-by but they are offering afterpay for purchases over $100 online.

If you are reading this on June 13th then you’ll be able to get 25% off for today only.

The biggest disappointment in the Myer catalogue is 10743 Smokey’s Garage, which is displayed as “on sale” for $31.95. The RRP for that set is only $29.99

You can view the list of sets featured in the catalogue below.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne Adult Event Details

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne Logo Thumb

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne have just shared details of their first two Adult Nights. The first is Thursday 25 May 7-9pm and the second is Thursday 22 June 7-9pm.

Tickets for the adult events are $32.50 each but people with annual passes will be able to enter for free. Annual pass holders still need to book a spot to ensure they can get in via this link.

What’s on offer?

With LEGOLAND Discovery Centre being designed for kids, what exactly is on offer at the adult nights? You will be able to experience the 4D Cinema, rides, Factory Tour and LEGO brick pits. There will also be speed build challenges and a MINILAND scavenger hunt.

There will be prizes on offer for several build challenges to be held throughout the night. The Master Model Builders will be also be hosting workshop classes, providing tips and tricks for the LEGO pros and novices.

AFOLs are encouraged to bring along a MOC to display on either the LEGO display table or enter it into the “Model of the Month” competition, for the chance to display your work at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre.

The cafe will also be remaining open until 8pm for anybody that wants to buy food and drink.

This event is strictly adults only – nobody under the age of 18 is allowed. It will be interesting to see if this stems the tide of 1 star reviews from angry AFOLs.

You can book your tickets via https://melbourne.legolanddiscoverycentre.com.au/tickets/adult-nights/

The official details from the website are below. Thanks to Chris for sharing this information with me.
