On Sale: 20% Off At Toys R Us

A bit of an unexpected surprise came through from Toys R Us tonight via email.

From today online or tomorrow in-store, until Sunday May 20th Toys R Us are offering 20% off all full priced items.

Toys R Us 20percent off May 17 2018

To take advantage of the offer online you will need to use the code WEEKEND at checkout. If you are going in-store you’ll need to have a copy of the barcode for staff to scan.

The UCS Millennium Falcon is specifically excluded, but it might be a good time to pick up a Ninjago City.

Thanks to Trevor and Chris for both making sure I didn’t miss this.

Amazon Actually Has Some Good LEGO Prices

Amazon Australia Thumb

I was telling a friend earlier today about the Target 20% off sale on Jurassic World and he said that most of the Jurassic World sets were actually cheaper at Amazon.

I decided to check it out and sure enough he was right. Even with the current 20% off sale almost all of the sets are cheaper at Amazon.

It’s possible that they have adjusted their prices in response to the Big W 25% off this week, but it could also hopefully be a sign that Amazon wants to be aggressive on LEGO pricing.

You can check out the Jurassic World range for yourself here.

Looking through the rest of their listings and there are certainly a few things that jump out as being discounted. Nothing crazy but certainly competitive (see a list of examples below). Perhaps Amazon Australia is becoming a site worth checking when doing your LEGO shopping?

On Sale: 20% Off Jurassic World At Target

Target 200x200

New offer from Target launches today with 20% off their Jurassic World toy range. Luckily that also includes the the LEGO and Duplo sets.

The offer is live now and runs until midnight on May 30th. It is featured in the latest catalogue so should be running in-store as well as online.

Unfortunately there is no link to just the LEGO but you should be able to find them easy enough amongst the other products here.

New Harry Potter Set Details

Harry Potter fans may want to open a savings account at Gringotts because there are new sets on the way and they look great.

We’ve already seen that a Hogwarts Great Hall set is coming but these new sets are also looking like must haves for Harry Potter Fans. These sets should be hitting stores in August.

First up is 75953 Hogwarts Whomping Willow. The set contains over 750 pieces and comes with Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Seamus Finnigan, Argus Filch and Severus Snape, plus a Hedwig owl figure. Of course you also get the Whomping Willow itself and the flying Ford Anglia. There is a decent sized section of Hogwarts castle wall that appears to connect to the Hogwarts Great Hall set.

Next up is 75955 Hogwarts Express featuring the iconic red train and platform 9¾. The set again features Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. You also get Remus Lupin and the Trolley Witch, plus Dementor and Scabbers figures.

The final of the three new sets is 75956 Quidditch Match. This set features a Quidditch field and a tower for each house. The minifigure lineup includes Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Severus Snape, Oliver Wood, Lucian Bole and Marcus Flint.

10261 Roller Coaster VIP Launch Update

It’s 10:14 PM AEST and after hours of issues I was just able to add a 10261 Roller Coaster to my shopping bag at LEGO Online. I’m not actually buying it but have been checking all night to see when the issues would be resolved. You can go and grab yours here.

Roller Coaster Available 16052018

If you haven’t been following along the day went like this; we all refreshed the site like crazy all day hoping it would become available, when it finally did it almost instantly changed to say it was “not available in your country”. Hours after that a message saying they were aware of the issues popped up (it’s still there). Finally though it seems it’s now available.

LEGO Announces Harry Potter BrickHeadz Range

The LEGO BrickHeadz theme doesn’t show any sign of slowing down, with a new range of Harry Potter themed sets announced overnight.

Harry Potter BrickHeadz

You will be able to get BrickHead versions of the three main characters – Harry, Hermione and Ron. There is also a BrickHead version of Dumbledore and Hedwig.

The characters are split up over three sets. Harry and Hedwig come in one set, Ron and Dumbledore are together in the second and poor Hermione is by herself. It would make a lot more sense for Ron and Hermione to be together in a set and putting Ron with Dumbledore seems like a business decision more than a logical one.

Harry Potter BrickHeadz Boxes

I personally like the BrickHeads and I think these ones are some fantastic designs.

No Australian pricing at this stage but I am going to guess the following: $20.99 or $24.99 for Harry and Hedwig, $15.99 for Hermione and $29.99 for Ron and Dumbledore. The Harry Potter one is a bit hard to price because Hedwig is smaller than a regular BrickHead.

On Sale: Toys R Us Drops Price of Joker Manor For Click Frenzy

Toys R US Frenzy Mayhem Joker Manor

If Click Frenzy Mayhem was a competition I don’t think Toys R Us would win. Their offering isn’t a flat discount on everything, it’s just a discount on the Joker Manor set.

If you are after this set it isn’t a bad price at all.

You can view the set here.

As this is a Click Frenzy price, don’t expect it to be the same in-store. As usual Click Frenzy is for 24 hours only so get your order in by 7 PM AEST tomorrow night (May 16th).

On Sale: 25% Off Toys At Big W For Click Frenzy Mayhem

Big W 2017 Logo

Big W are following the lead set by Myer and offering 25% off all of their full priced toys.

This includes an extensive range of LEGO sets – everything except their “price drop” items.

No need for a code as the prices are already reduced online. With Big W regular prices already below RRP generally the extra 25% off works out great.

You can view their full LEGO range here.

Click Frenzy is a 24 hour event so you’ve got until 7pm tomorrow night (May 16th). This offer is online only so you won’t be able to get the discounted prices in-store.

On Sale: 25% Off LEGO At Myer

Myer Logo Generic 200px

There is a new Click Frenzy event launching tomorrow night but Myer have jumped the gun and their offer is live now.

Myer is offering 25% off the full price of their LEGO range, with the unfortunate exception of the Creator Expert sets.

There are some great prices on big sets such as the Joker Manor, Boost and Mack Anthem.

This is an online only sale and while I can’t find a set end date listed the Click Frenzy event ends 7 PM AEST on Wednesday May 16th.

This link should have all of the sale sets.

If you were looking to save a little extra via eBay unfortunately at this stage their entire LEGO range was removed.

Thanks to Chris for the information.
