All The 2018 Star Wars Day Offers

Star Wars Day is here again!

Sure May The 4th may not have the same mainstream appeal as something like Christmas, but for LEGO Star Wars fans it’s still a great day.

Here is a quick round-up of all the offers I’ve found so far.

Sydney Brick Show This Weekend

The Sydney Brick Show is back for 2018, now at a new venue.

This weekend (April 21st & 22nd) the Penrith Panthers Pavilion will be taken over by a huge collection of LEGO creations.

Sydney Brick Show 2018 Banner

Each year the organisers endeavour to bring fresh ideas for the enjoyment of patrons and this year there are quite a few! Highlights include interactive displays, a free build area, the famous graffiti wall and a giant Ninjago spinner. Don’t miss a world record attempt at the most minifig habitats (over 1200 on display) as well as the gigantic space colony ”GALACTIC FRONTIER” where the rare ”LEGOTONIUM” is mined.

Monies raised at the Sydney Brick Show 2018 will be used to provide support to Nepean Area Disabilities Organisation (NADO). NADO is a community-based charity that supports people with disabilities, their families and carers in Western Sydney, including the Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, Penrith suburbs and surrounding areas.

Tickets are $19.10 for adults and $14.00 for juniors (4-16 years). Unfortunately there is also a $5.25 handling fee per transaction. You can get your tickets here.

You can learn more about the event via the Sydney Brick Show website, Facebook Page, or event page below.

Release Schedule For First Half of 2018

CATALOGUE 1HY2018 Cover Thumb

It’s the new year, which means that I have been constantly checking the LEGO 3D Catalogue app hoping that the new catalogue for the first half of 2018 had been released. Sure enough while checking today I got exactly what I was after.

I have gone through the catalogue and compiled an extensive list of the release schedule for every set featured in the catalogue. You can find that full list at the end of the article. It’s over 130 sets so I have made it sortable and searchable for you. You can search by month, set number or a specific theme.

Hopefully the sets that you are interested in aren’t too far off. Note that these sets are available online from LEGO if you are impatient.

The catalogue also features some additional information about themes that haven’t had their sets announced yet…

LEGO is going all out with the Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom sets – there will be Duplo, Juniors and regular sets all released related to the movie all in April.

With the Han Solo film out this year the tie-in sets will also be released in April, specifically April 13th. Hopefully we’ll see these before then.

Speed Champions fans will be pleased to see that there are more sets coming in March.

The catalogue also confirms a new series of Minifigures will be released in April to follow on from the Batman Movie series 2 minifigures.

Check Out These Sets Coming In 2018

LEGO have updated their servers with images of some of the sets that will be released in 2017. There’s Creator, Technic and City sets to check out. With the images of these already online it’s likely that these are all January release sets but that hasn’t been confirmed. No pricing as yet.

31071 Drone Explorer – 109 pieces

Interesting subject for a set. It seems to be a piloted drone, but there is no minifigure included. Alternate builds are a plane and airboat.
