LEGO Announces Simpsons BrickHeadz

LEGO has just announced two new BrickHeadz from a new sub-theme – The Simpsons.

The first Simpsons characters imortalised in the BrickHeadz format are Homer Simpson and Krusty The Clown.

It’s unclear if these are two separate products or a double pack. Seeing as how LEGO announced these with a single image I am going to assume they come together.

What do you think? I know that BrickHeadz are incredibly polarising.

Review: 41597 Go Brick Me

41597 Go Brick Me Header

The BrickHeadz theme is polarising, and I will be completely honest and say that I am not a fan of all of them. I do like the concept and think some of them are awesome.

When Go Brick Me was announced I was really excited by the concept. A collection of parts that allows you to build a BrickHeadz version of yourself. It’s like those video games where you can customise your character, but LEGO.

LEGO Announces Harry Potter BrickHeadz Range

The LEGO BrickHeadz theme doesn’t show any sign of slowing down, with a new range of Harry Potter themed sets announced overnight.

Harry Potter BrickHeadz

You will be able to get BrickHead versions of the three main characters – Harry, Hermione and Ron. There is also a BrickHead version of Dumbledore and Hedwig.

The characters are split up over three sets. Harry and Hedwig come in one set, Ron and Dumbledore are together in the second and poor Hermione is by herself. It would make a lot more sense for Ron and Hermione to be together in a set and putting Ron with Dumbledore seems like a business decision more than a logical one.

Harry Potter BrickHeadz Boxes

I personally like the BrickHeads and I think these ones are some fantastic designs.

No Australian pricing at this stage but I am going to guess the following: $20.99 or $24.99 for Harry and Hedwig, $15.99 for Hermione and $29.99 for Ron and Dumbledore. The Harry Potter one is a bit hard to price because Hedwig is smaller than a regular BrickHead.

New Promotion and Sets For April

Now that April Fools is done^ lets get in to some real LEGO news for April.

First up is an interesting new online promotion:

Free Minifigure Factory with purchases over $85

The Minifigure Factory set features one minifigure in a great LEGO employee shirt as well as a collection of decorated trophy elements. The trophy elements represent an interesting lineup of minifigures. You will also get a small trolley and factory build. The set for the box also folds out to create a diorama factory scene. You can learn more about the promotional set here.
The set goes nicely with the Series 18 minifigures which are also out now. I wouldn’t recommend getting CMF from the online store though. It’s not the cheapest option and you can’t feel the packets.

New BrickHeadz

A new range of BrickHeadz have just been released – 2 from Solo, 4 from Infinity War and the interesting looking Go Brick Me set. I’m hoping that Go Brick Me will be coming to retail at some point because I really want to get that one.

Here’s the full list:

Infinity War BrickHeadz Pictures

With Marvel’s Infinity War out next month we already have the tie-in sets on local shelves, but there are also a range of BrickHeadz coming out too.

Thanks to Promobricks we now have our first look a the lineup. With so many characters in the film not everybody is going to get a set but I think the lineup is pretty good.

Beauty and The Beast BrickHeadz Announced

It seems that the BrickHeadz theme could be an interesting addition to the 2017 lineup. While most people assumed that the theme was just super heroes LEGO have blown that notion out of the water with two new sets…

41595 Belle
41595 Belle

41596 Beast
41596 Beast

With a new live action re-telling of the Disney classic coming out this year these kind of make perfect sense. They certainly change what we could see with the theme.

This line in the product page certainly has me intrigued. “Have fun growing your LEGO® BrickHeadz collection with other classic characters, including 41595 Belle, from your favorite movies, TV series, games and comics.“. Emphasis added.

Who would you like to see added to the line-up?

Australian Price For BrickHeadz Confirmed

LEGO have updated their online store with pages for the recently announced BrickHeadz sets. That means we now know that all of the sets have an Australian RRP of $15.99.

BrickHeadz AU price

With a variety of printed parts and licensing costs I think these are quite well priced. They are perfectly suited to a “Buy One, get one half price” sale.

These sets should be available in March, with a VIP release possible mid-February.
