LEGO Fed Square Thumbnail

If you are a LEGO fan in Melbourne then a trip to Federation Square should certainly be on your agenda. The giant LEGO Christmas Tree that we posted about earlier is now in place and lit up every night. There are also some other LEGO related activities and attractions to excite LEGO fans young and old.

Each Sunday until Christmas (December 13th and 20th) you will be able to build your own LEGO Christmas tree ornaments. Bricking Around reader Paul sent through some photos of these ornaments and they look great.

Here are more details about everything that’s happening. The ornament gallery and a video of the LEGO Christmas Tree are below.

LEGO Christmas Make & Take At Toys R Us

We know that some people had mixed experiences with the Star Wars Make & Take this weekend gone but it’s hard to argue with free LEGO!

Toys R Us are getting into the Christmas spirit with a new Christmas themed Make & Take event on Saturday December 5th 2015. From the picture it looks like the set is a cute LEGO Christmas Tree with Santa.

As always places for these events are limited. There is no mention of a specific 16+ session for this event.

Thanks to Emma for sending this through.

The has a few extra Aussie additions this year as well: cricket bat- wielding elves, mischief-making kookaburras and the merry man himself, Santa Claus.

Brick Friday Offer Now Available Online

The LEGO “Brick Friday” offer for Australian shoppers is now available. Unfortunately the offer for us is lacking compared to some other regions around the world.

While others get discounts and bonuses the Australian Brick Friday offer is just 40107 Winter Skating Scene when spending over $100.

Sorry for the delay in posting this, we lost power in the storm that hit Brisbane on Thursday.
