LEGO Looking For Giveaway Suggestions

sophia-cu-with-chat

Everybody knows that LEGO regularly have giveaways on their online store. These bonuses help tempt people to buy at RRP from the official online store. There have been some great giveaways in the past, and there have been some less great ones too.

Now LEGO is directly reaching out to the adult LEGO fan community for suggestions on future giveaways. They have asked partners like this site to find out what people want in a giveaway. I’ll collect your suggestions and then pass on the top 5. Enter your suggestion in the form below and then I will provide a poll to help finalise the top 5.

I’ll be taking suggestions until October 24th, and then from then until October 30th I will feature a poll of your suggestions.

Your suggestion can be anything that LEGO might produce – that mean no new IP and no suggestions that violate LEGO’s rules (drugs, nudity, war etc). More detail is available at the end of the article if you are still unsure.

LEGO Giving Away SDCC Exclusives On Twitter

LEGO SDCC

Every year there is a fierce debate about the exclusives given away by LEGO at San Diego Comic-Con, but regardless of what any of us fans in Australia think the give away is happening again with some interesting items.

There is the strange Deadpool Duck minifigure, the Vixen minifigure from Legends of Tomorrow and two different pairs of BrickHeadz (Supergirl & Martian Manhunter, Spiderman and Venom). I’ve include pictures of those at the end of the article.

If, like me, you aren’t attending the event you may be interested to know that LEGO seem to be running the usual Twitter promotion to give away some of these exclusives. Now would be a great time to join Twitter if you haven’t already.

The first competition is already live, and more are likely to appear over the next few days. Entry is as simple as retweeting a specific tweet. I’ve embedded that first one below.

Who Won Our LEGO Movie Blu-Ray Competition?

Lego_Movie_2D_UV_BD_RETAIL_R

We would like to say a huge thanks to everybody who took the time to enter this competition. We really enjoyed reading through all of your awesome LEGO moments. Unfortunately there can only be 5 winners; and here they are, including their awesome LEGO moments.

Kay

Reliving childhood memories of playing lego as a late 20 year old and being able to afford any lego set without my parents permission :D

Helena

My awesome LEGO moment was when my English teacher gave me a blue permanent marker which has a yellow Lego lid. I use it all the time because it is awesome!

Joanne

The morning my daughter got up to see the awesome Lego dolls house my husband and I had made her! Her face was priceless.

Caroline

My husband and my daughter spend a whole day making me a Lego dinner! I came home from work and it was set and on the table! (Unfortunately – I still then had to make the real tea!)

Hugh

When I discovered that the flat plates can connect orthogonally between the studs of other bricks. I had previously thought this was only possible by using a third piece, like the angular brick (407023).

We will be in touch shortly to organise delivery of your prize.
