Heap of New Sets Added To LEGO’s Online Store

2ND Half 2016 Thumb

LEGO have just updated their Australian online store, with a heap of the second half 2016 sets now listed.

The new sets cover a range of themes including City, Creator and Nexo Knights. Included in the batch is the LEGO City Fun in The Park set that had a lot of people talking when it was first unveiled.

Below is a list of all the new sets found so far and each has a link to view the product page in full.

There is still no catalogue available for the second half of 2016 so we don’t know when these sets will appear at retail.

On Sale: LEGO Range Reduced At Build & Play

Build and Play Logo 200

To celebrate the launch of their new website Victorian online LEGO retailer Build & Play Australia have slashed the prices of their LEGO range.

There are some great prices and a decent range so it’s certainly worth having a look.

Be quick though – this sale ends at midnight tonight (11:59:59 PM May 12th 2016).

You can check out their range here.

LEGO’s Latest Technic Set Is This Awesome Supercar

At various toy fairs earlier this year there was a mysterious LEGO Technic car disguised with patterned stickers, just as real cars are disguised on the test track. After months of speculation LEGO have finally released official details of the set.

Introducing 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS

42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Main

Rather than the odd zebra pattern the set comes in a fantastic orange colour that closely matches Porsche’s Lava Orange colour.

This isn’t just your regular LEGO Technic set either – LEGO and Porsche have worked closely to make this a fantastic collectors item with a special collector’s book chronicling the history of LEGO Technic and Porsche GT cars included. Special attention has been given to the actual build too – parts are separately boxed for a building sequence that gives an insight into the real-life vehicle’s assembly process.

With 2,704 pieces this set isn’t going to be cheap but it’s certainly going to cost you less than a real 911 GT3 RS. No Australian RRP at this stage but as soon as that information is available we’ll share that.

Classic Theatre Scenes Re-created With LEGO

Theatre Scenes Thumb

Here is something a little fun for your Wednesday morning.

Travel and theatre break provider, National Holidays have recently commissioned model designer Elspeth De Montes from Azurebrick to recreate miniature theatre scenes out of LEGO.

Elspeth built four of the most iconic theatre scenes which took over a month to complete, involving great precision and an eye for detail.

Check out the scenes below to see if you can recognise the scenes from these famous productions…

Official Pictures Of The Disney Minifigure Series

We may have already seen the lineup thanks to pictures discovered online back in February but LEGO has posted official pictures of the Disney Collectible Minifigure lineup. You can click on the image for a larger version.

Disney Minifigures Lineup

The lineup includes (top row) Syndrome, Ariel, Aladdin, Captain Hook, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Daisy Duck, Maleficent, (bottom row) Stitch, Ursula, Alice, Cheshire Cat, Peter Pan, Mr. Incredible, Buzz Lightyear, Pizza Planet Alien, Genie.

It’s an interesting mix of classic Disney and newer characters.

On Sale: All LEGO Reduced At Toy Universe

Toy Universe Thumb

We just got an email from the team at Toy Universe letting us know that they currently have all of their LEGO products on sale.

There are a range of discounts on offer and a decent mix of different themes. There is also good lineup of newer and slightly older sets on offer.

It certainly seems worth having a look. As always with online retailers don’t forget to factor postage costs into your overall saving.

This sale starts today (March 8th) and runs until March 17th 2016, or while stocks last.

You can check out the range here, or view a listing of the products and their discounts below. Note that items may get removed from the website as they sell out, so if you see something on the list that isn’t available, our apologies for that.

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers Game Launches Today

LMA_PS4_Packshot_3D_ANZ_1437729827

With the recent release of the latest LEGO Dimensions packs you may have forgotten that there is another LEGO game launching today – LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.

Marvel are owned by Disney (who make the Disney Infinity games) so we probably won’t be getting any Marvel characters in Dimensions. It’s a good thing then that the LEGO Avengers game looks pretty great as a standalone.

The game features story elements from a series of Marvel Cinematic Universe films; Marvel’s Avengers, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Thor: The Dark World and Iron Man 3. With so much content to feature the game should be packed with fun moments.

We have had a look around for the best prices for anybody looking to pick up a copy.

Happy Australia Day. We hope that you are making the most of your day off (if you are lucky enough to have one).

To help celebrate the day LEGO have shared the instructions for this cute Kangaroo build.
