Latest LEGO Ideas Review Results – Two New Sets!

The latest LEGO Ideas review results are in, and there is one successful set from the review and an older project that is finally becoming a reality. For anybody that likes to watch the announcements first, here is the video…

Firstly the set that passed in this review…

Ship In A Bottle, The Flagship Leviathan

LEGO Ideas Ship In a Bottle

This project is the sort of thing I love to see from LEGO Ideas – an innovative idea that is something you may not expect as a retail LEGO set. It will be fascinating to see how the LEGO designers refine the bottle part of the build.

Next is a project from the previous review that is finally getting the go-ahead…

Voltron – Defender of the Universe

LEGO Ideas Voltron

There were a lot of people frustrated when this set was left with a question mark, but now it is finally coming. This looks like it will be another high part count set.

Both of these projects are still in the LEGO design phase and won’t become official products until 2018. You can see the full lineup of projects that didn’t make the cut below.

Latest LEGO Ideas Review Results

LEGO have just revealed the results of the latest LEGO Ideas review and there is one new set definitely coming, and a second still possible.

Passing the review is Women of NASA, a result that isn’t completely unexpected considering the success of the female scientists Ideas set.

The Latest LEGO Ideas Review Results Are In

The latest LEGO Ideas review results are in and it’s honestly a bit of a surprise. Of the 9 sets up for review I was skeptical that any of them would make it.

Shockingly the very impressive looking Old Fishing Store set made the cut.

Old Fishing store

Many people, myself included, thought this would be far to big for an Ideas set.

The Old Fishing Store won’t be available for a while, but hopefully it will be some time in 2017.

You can check out the announcement video below and the projects that didn’t make the cut.

Latest LEGO Ideas Review Results – Two Sets Pass Review

The LEGO Ideas team have just shared the results of the third 2015 project review, and this time there are two models that will be hitting shelves as an actual LEGO set…

The Beatles Yellow Submarine

it was hard to see how the licensing for this one was going to work out, and it passing review is a bit of a surprise.

LEGO Ideas Beatles Yellow Submarine

Yellow Submarine is a classic part of Beatles history and project creator Kevin Szeto has done a great job of rendering it with bricks. The final set should also included the band as LEGO Minifigures.

Apollo 11 Saturn V

LEGO and NASA have worked together in the past, so this set passing review isn’t a huge surprise. The only thing going against it was size – the model is around one meter tall. This could be one of the largest Ideas sets to date when it’s released.

Latest LEGO Ideas Review Results – Two Sets Coming Soon

LEGO have just released the results of the LEGO Ideas review for the second half of 2015.

After a previous review lead to no new products it seemed entirely possible that this review may have the same result. Luckily that isn’t the case at all – there are actually two products that will be produced.

Caterham Super Seven

This project perfectly captures the classic British sports car in LEGO. Hopefully the final set will look as good as the submitted version.

Caterham Super Seven

Adventure Time

These brick built Adventure Time characters look awesome and are likely to be a hit with fans of the wacky show. If this one sells well it could potentially lead to future sets – LEGO do have a good relationship with Cartoon Network.

The Latest LEGO Ideas Review – No New Products

The latest LEGO Ideas review results are in and they are going to be very disappointing for everybody who supported a project in the review round.

LEGO has made the decision to pass on all of the projects that were in the review. That means of the 14 projects in review, 13 were rejected and one has been passed to the next review period. LEGO have explained their decision in a video (see below).
