Amazon Actually Has Some Good LEGO Prices

Amazon Australia Thumb

I was telling a friend earlier today about the Target 20% off sale on Jurassic World and he said that most of the Jurassic World sets were actually cheaper at Amazon.

I decided to check it out and sure enough he was right. Even with the current 20% off sale almost all of the sets are cheaper at Amazon.

It’s possible that they have adjusted their prices in response to the Big W 25% off this week, but it could also hopefully be a sign that Amazon wants to be aggressive on LEGO pricing.

You can check out the Jurassic World range for yourself here.

Looking through the rest of their listings and there are certainly a few things that jump out as being discounted. Nothing crazy but certainly competitive (see a list of examples below). Perhaps Amazon Australia is becoming a site worth checking when doing your LEGO shopping?

Selected Sets On Sale At Amazon Australia

Amazon Australia Thumb

Ever since Amazon launched in Australia we’ve been hanging out for a decent sale.

There are currently over 50 sets listed as clearance items and some of the prices are actually pretty great. This is marked as a clearance sale so there is no set end date.

You’ll also find an interesting mix of sets on offer.

Don’t forget that you’ll need to factor in postage but this shouldn’t be a huge issue as these items are sold by Amazon rather than third party sellers.

You can see the sets via this link, or see an overview of what is on offer below.

On Sale: $10 Off For Every $50 Spent At Myer

Myer Logo Generic 200px

I’m officially renaming Wednesday to Myer Offer Day.

Sure enough it’s Wednesday morning and we have a new sale on at Myer, but this one isn’t quite a 20% off sale.

From today until 11:59pm AEDT Sunday 29th October Myer are offering $10 off for every $50 spent. No mention of this being online only or in-store too.

This might sound like 20% but it’s one of those sneaky sales where if you spend $90 you only get $10 off still. To take full advantage of the offer you need to spend in a multiple of $50.

Don’t forget to check their eBay store for an actual 20% off sale.

You can check out the Myer online range here.

On Sale: Selected Sets Reduced At Toys R Us

Toys R US Logo 200px

Toys R Us are clearing out some old stock and from today (October 5th) through until Sunday October 8th they are reducing the clearance prices by a further 25%.

There are some good prices on a bit of a random mix of sets but there may just be something that you are interested in.

The website advertises this as being in-store and online but note that this is a clearance sale and items may not be available in-store at all.

This link should hopefully show the LEGO products on offer. You can see the full list of sets and the discount below.

On Sale: Shopforme Having Huge LEGO Sale

Melbourne based online and physical retailer Shopforme have quite regular blitz sales with a specific theme or set on sale. The email that they sent out today however is a little different – there is a heap of stuff on sale, and some of it up to 40% off. There is no information about when these sale prices end.

You can see all of the offers for yourself via the online copy of their email here.

Here are a few of the highlights…

40% Off City

LEGO City Save 40

Their entire City range is 40% off, including the new Jungle sets.

30% Off Nexo Knights

30% Off Technic

You can see the individual sets that are on sale in the table below.

LEGO Dimensions Super Cheap At LEGO Online, Maybe

Let me qualify this straight up – there is a fairly high chance that LEGO won’t honour these prices, but if you are LEGO Dimensions fan you might just want to give it a go.

Right now LEGO’s Australian online store has 6 different packs listed at ridiculously cheap prices. You can get the Ghostbusters Story Pack for $15. It’s $79.99 at EB Games. That should show you that these prices are not right.

LEGO Dimensions Glitch November 2016

Unfortunately the $200 free shipping limit still applies.

Once again – I am in no way promising that LEGO will honour these prices. Order at your own risk.

On Sale: All LEGO Reduced At Toy Universe

Toy Universe Thumb

We just got an email from the team at Toy Universe letting us know that they currently have all of their LEGO products on sale.

There are a range of discounts on offer and a decent mix of different themes. There is also good lineup of newer and slightly older sets on offer.

It certainly seems worth having a look. As always with online retailers don’t forget to factor postage costs into your overall saving.

This sale starts today (March 8th) and runs until March 17th 2016, or while stocks last.

You can check out the range here, or view a listing of the products and their discounts below. Note that items may get removed from the website as they sell out, so if you see something on the list that isn’t available, our apologies for that.

LEGO Dimensions On Sale At Big W

BigW 200x200

It looks like Big W are getting in on the LEGO Dimensions sales action. We’re not sure if they are just clearing stock for before the next wave is released or if it’s a sign that the game has stopped selling well. Either way it’s a great chance to pick up some of the items for a great price.

We’ve included a breakdown of all of the products on sale below.

You can check out the range here, or if you are just interested in the products that are available to purchase online you can click hereicon

Is It Time For Retailers To Limit Quantities During Sales?

In case you didn’t know already the Myer 2015 Toy Sale has kicked off today. It looks like a pretty decent sale, with 20% off all LEGO and a few items with a slightly better percentage discount. The flagship sets are the new Detective’s Office modular building, and the Myer exclusive UCS Slave I. The Myer sale officially runs from June 10th to July 12th 2015, though if you were planning on picking up one of those flagship sets you may already be out of luck. Stock is disappearing fast, and it’s a phenomenon not exclusive to the Myer sale.

Recently LEGO has been more popular than ever. This may still be an after effect from the LEGO Movie, or may just be a general increase in popularity. Regardless of the source – the increased popularity means that there are more people out in the shops looking to save money on LEGO.

“What’s the problem?” you may be thinking. Surely a large company like LEGO can easily meet demand for their products. They’re one of (if not the) largest toy companies in the world. Unfortunately the delicate balance between supply and demand is easily messed with.

On Sale: Outer Rim Trading Co Drops Prices On A Range Of Sets

Outer Rim Trading Co

The mid-year toy sale period can be tough on small LEGO retailers, but one Brisbane based retailer has decided to take on the big retailers by dropping prices on a range of sets.

Brisbane based online retailer Outer Rim Trading Co sent out an email to their subscribers informing them of the price reductions. Here is what Michael from the store had to say in the email;

June is here, and it’s the season of big LEGO savings! We’ve scoured the market so you don’t have to, and have matched or beaten all currently advertised LEGO sales from the major retailers on items that we currently range. Some items are even price matched BEFORE their sale even starts!

Sale products are located throughout our entire range of products. Stocks are limited, and purchasing limits may apply.

As mentioned – the savings are spread throughout the store, so we don’t have a full listing. It might be worth doing some browsing around.
