Warning: Your Millennium Falcon May Cost A Little More Than You Thought

75192 MF Fee Article

The largest ever LEGO set goes on sale for LEGO VIP customers some time tomorrow and if you aren’t already aware it’s expensive – the Australian RRP is $1299.99.

You may think that being the Australian LEGO site, and being charged in Australian dollars that the price you see is the price that you will pay? Unfortunately that isn’t always the case. A lot of credit cards will charge you an international transaction fee if the store is located outside of Australia, regardless of the currency being charged.

Here is a quick look at what the various Australian Banks say about this:

Force Friday Deals From LEGO

It might feel like everything is about the Millennium Falcon right now, but it’s also Force Friday II which means all of the Last Jedi merchandise is now officially available.

I’ll be trying to do a round-up of the sets and prices later today but if you are interested in buying directly from LEGO there are some special offers that you may be interested in…

Triple VIP Points on all Star Wars purchases

FFII Triple VIP

The offer is valid from 1st to 3rd of September 2017.

Free Mini First Order Heavy Assault Walker

FFII Free Heavy Ass Walker

The website says that this offer is for orders equal to or greater than £60 in LEGO Star Wars™ merchandise only. I am guessing that would be about $100 AU. Again this offer runs from September 1st to 3rd.

Exclusive poster for VIP customers

FFII Free Poster

If you are signed in to your VIP account and purchase LEGO Star Wars sets you will receive one of three posters. The website says to come back each day for a different poster but that it is unlikely with the $200 free shipping threshold. This offer is also September 1st to 3rd.

21309 Saturn V Available For Backorder

The hugely popular 21309 Saturn V set is once more available to order from the LEGO Online store. Currently it is listed as on back-order with sets shipping by September 11th. It’s likely that date will extend out as more orders are placed, so get in quick.

Saturn V Backorder August 26

There were a heap of people who emailed me about this so thanks to Matt, Tim, Tony, Marty and Ricky.

If you are still on the fence about the set you can check out my review here.

70620 Ninjago City Now Available For VIPs

The flagship Ninjago Movie set has just been made available for VIP customers, and it’s tempting.

Ninjago City VIP Release

The set will cost you $499.99 but should qualify you for both of the current promotions – Iconic Cave and the Kai’s Dojo Pod.

You will need to be signed in to your LEGO VIP account to be able to add this to your bag.

Are you ordering one?

Free Kai’s Dojo Pod Now Available From LEGO Online

With the Ninjago Movie getting closer and the highly antipated Ninjago City released soon LEGO have today released a new promotion on their online store.

Free Kai’s Dojo Pod with any Ninjago purchase

Ninjago Kai Dojo Pod

Surprisingly this offer has a fairly long run time – August 14th to 29th October 2017 (or while stocks last).

The qualifier for this says Ninjago sets, so regular non-movie Ninjago sets should count.

I did a quick test and both the Kai’s Dojo Pod and Iconic Cave set were added to my cart with a Ninjago set over $45.

Thanks to Chris for first letting me know about this offer
