The first batch of sets from the new Mixels theme have been added to the US version of the online LEGO store. No Australian availability yet, but we will update when there is news.
There are 3 groups, with 3 sets in each. The sets have between 45 – 70 pieces and cost just $5 US each. They also come in a bag, rather than a box;
The sets themselves are quite cute, they have some interesting parts and we really like the idea of combining them into a larger model. We just aren’t sure if this theme is going to take off. The Cartoon Network cartoon created to go with these sets doesn’t seem likely to gain the same level of popularity as Ninjago or Chima. We’ll let you judge for yourself.
