Flumpf has posted a comment on our original article about the new LEGO Movie sets. As you may recall 70815 Super Secret Police Dropship would not ship to Australia. Well Flumpf got in touch with Amazon and they have corrected the issue.
That’s right, thanks to the work of Flumpf you can now get all three of these new sets from Amazon. We have run through the figures on these and included them below. You can get all three sets shipped to Australia for $328.72; around 8% off the Australian RRP.

I just tried to purchase the police dropship and it said could not ship to this address… I’m confused I thought it would??

There has been issues with that particular set in the past. I believe that if you contact Amazon they can enable international shipping for that one. We’ll look in to it.
I emailed Amazon yesterday (21/07/2014) about “unlocking” 70815, but they said at this point they’re unable to ship it to Australia. Maybe it was the customer service person who responded to me, but it seems all they did was look over the product page. I don’t think they went any further than that.
They said some of the third-party vendors might be able to ship it to Australia, but as far as I can see, the cost is higher, and you might not be able to take advantage of Amazon’s excellent customer service, should you run into any problems.
I still find it strange 70815 won’t ship to Australia, when almost all the other sets do. In addition, 70816 is no longer sold by Amazon, but an “amazon company” by the name of yoyo.com. The price has also increased by US$5.00.
I should note I am a different Michael to the one who replied to Tara. Sorry for the confusion.
