As part of their LEGO Christmas celebrations Westfield Sydney will also be building the biggest LEGO Christmas Tree ever seen in the Southern Hemisphere.
Sydney is gearing up for the city’s biggest ever festive season, with the exciting addition of a magical LEGO® Christmas Tree built entirely out of LEGO bricks, from 27 November to 27 December 2014 at Westfield Sydney.
Built especially for LEGO fans by Australia’s very own LEGO Certified Professional, Ryan McNaught, the breathtaking tree will stand close to 10m tall and will be built from close to half a million LEGO bricks making it the biggest LEGO Christmas Tree ever seen in the Southern Hemisphere.
Accompanying the model will be a life-sized Santa and sleigh, and a very special build designed by one lucky young LEGO Club Member, all made entirely from LEGO bricks. Together with the tree, these colourful models will make up a stunning LEGO Christmas themed set, bound to delight LEGO fans of all ages.
To add a touch of sparkle, the LEGO Christmas Tree will come to life every night with a light show set to Christmas music (from approximately 8pm).
This awe-inspiring tree will be part of the wider City of Sydney Christmas celebrations, which will include elaborate decorations, a series of free concerts, fireworks and a special visit from Santa himself. The LEGO Christmas Tree will be officially launched on Thursday, November 27 as part of the citywide celebrations. So come along and be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime Christmas experience and be inspired to build your LEGO Christmas!

Fans who attend the build events will also get to see a small scale replica of the LEGO Christmas Tree being built in Sydney.
Good to know – had no idea this was on!
Cheers.
How do these “build and take home” events work? What is the cost of the mini-model your kid builds?
