If you head over to the Australian online LEGO store you may notice a new offer – VIPs are being given access to the second of the Christmas bonus sets a little bit early.
It may be worth waiting a little bit though – reports are that this offer has appeared a little bit early, and it will not officially kick off until tomorrow (22nd November 2014).
When the offer is live the set should appear in your cart, so it may be worth checking regularly over the next day or so. As this is a VIP offer you will need to be logged in with your VIP account to access the deal.
The offer should become available to all shoppers soon.

There are rumours of 15% off select sets as well as an additional 5% off over $100 spent for tomorrow only. I think Lego is trying to offer specials for the rest of the world who don’t get Black Friday specials.
The only VIP offer that is coming up for me is the 2nd Christmas set. Is anyone else getting any discount offers or sets on sale?
Are we better off waiting until next week, or are we unlikely to get any Black Friday discounts on the Australian site next week either?
I have an email saying that the UK are getting the Brick Friday offers, and we usually follow their promos.
It appears the promotions today are Europe and US only unfortunately… Australia seems to be the only place missing out! 🙁
Michael, does your email say the the Australian site is getting the Black Friday offers which include the discount on selected sets on top of the free gift holiday set? Some sites mentioned that this offer is only available to UK, Europe and Oceania only.
The email I got was from the UK affiliate program, so it doesn’t specifically say anything about Australia. Fingers crossed though.
After placing my order, I sent customer service an email saying that whilst I was excited to qualify for the free skating scene set, I was disappointed that I wasn’t given the 5% discount that European customers are entitled to as part of the early access to the Brick Friday promotions, and I have just received the following response…
“Thanks for getting in touch with us.
I am sorry to hear that you did not get your 5% discount off your order. It should of applied for orders in Australia and I have talked to my Billing department and set up a refund for the mistake that the 5% was not applied. I am sorry if this has caused any confusion or frustration but for now keep a look out for money returning to the original card used in the order.
You should the money return back to your card in 3 – 5 business days but it depends on your bank.”
It doesn’t look like they’ve fixed the S@H website to automatically apply the discount, and so far, it hasn’t shown up on my order summary (maybe it won’t, and will just be refunded back, once my order ships and my card is charged), but at least it sounds like they’re willing and able to apply the discount after the fact, if you get in touch with them and politely ask for it.

I emailed Lego earlier today about only having the second Christmas set come up as the early VIP offer, and whether discounts on the order and/or sets would be happening today or next week for Black Friday. Their response:

Unfortunately we do not currently have any other promotions this weekend for early access in Australia. I’m very sorry about this inconvenience. There may be more promotions available come Brick Friday Weekend but at this time I don’t have any information as to what will be available then.
Once again I’m sorry I don’t have any more information to offer you, but keep your eyes out for promotions come Brick Friday Weekend.
I also quizzed them about discounts. Apparently had to spend $180 to get 5% off. Naturally I spent over $200 to get free shipping but still didn’t get discount so have sent them another email…
Apparently as I used VIP points and took purchase cost under $180 I was no longer entitled to 5% discount. Sounds like a lame excuse for the Au site not working correctly to me.
Unless there is some amazing offer this Friday I doubt I’ll be using S@H in the foreseeable future.
