LEGO has decided to surprise Australian Marvel LEGO fans this morning with official details of the massive 76042 SHIELD Helicarrier, and the news is better than expected.
The Australian price is currently listed at $499.99, with a VIP Pre-release on the 19th of February.
Currently the product page is not displaying images, but this is most likely just a temporary glitch.
Our initial price prediction was closer to $600 than $500, and we are pleasantly surprised to see the final RRP. Once you factor in tax and currency conversion we are essentially paying no markup over the US price. It’s possible that the US prices are no longer a good figure to use for predictions with the current weakness of the Australian dollar.

so, it said 19th of Feb a few days ago for VIPs. I log in today, and it now says 1st of March!!!
