We have just learnt that there is a new subscription product launching in the Australian market soon, and it certainly has us intrigued. The product is called BrickPak, and it is a LEGO focused loot crate.
For those of you not familiar with the loot crate concept – the idea is that you sign up for a subscription and each month you will be sent out a mysterious box filled with goodies. It’s like buying yourself a surprise present each month.
There have been a few LEGO loot crates launched in the past, but as far as we know this is the first time one has been done in Australia. The first BrickPak is launching in March, and is limited to only 100 boxes.
The biggest problem with LEGO related loot crates has always been the risk that the creators are being somewhat liberal with what they deem LEGO – unofficial parts and even clone brands have shown up in the past. That doesn’t appear to be a concern here though; the team behind BrickPak have taken to their blog to confirm that their packs will only contain genuine LEGO sets, Minifigures and spare parts.
In terms of what you will get in the pack? Well the mystery is part of the fun, but we do know that they aim to include one unique item of apparel in each box.
When will it be avaible and how much is cost.
It launched in March and comes monthly. The prices are on the website, but I’ll list them here anyway:
1 month: $29.95 per month
3 months: $27.95 per month
6 months: $25.95 per month
