Target Reveals 2015 Toy Sale Exclusives

It seems with all the sales starting this week Target were feeling a little left out. To get in on the action (and stop us spending all our money before their sale) they have launched a teaser site for their sale, which kicks off on July 22nd 2015.

Normally previews are pretty boring but Target have revealed that their sale is going to feature two UCS sets that haven’t previously been available at retail.

Target Toy Sale 2015 Preview UCS

That’s right –  76023 The Tumbler and 75095 TIE Fighter will both be part of Target’s 2015 Toy Sale.

There are no prices released yet, but we can make a few predictions. In their 2014 toy sale the Target percentage discount ranged from 20 – 30%. As a conservative bet lets look at a 10% discount and a 20% discount.

  • 76023 The Tumbler : $263.99 – $296.99
  • 75095 TIE Fighter : $239.99 – $269.99

Let us know what you think of those potential prices.

July 22nd is a Wednesday, so they’ll be sold out before I knock off work :-(. Sales should start on a Saturday to give the majority of people a chance to be there when doors open. Than we can stampede the flippers.

It looks like Target have trumped the other retailers, that’s some pretty damn impressive exclusives! I had no qualms paying full price when both of those sets were released. A lot of black bricks and plates will be flying off the shelves come July 22nd!

I hope these sets will be available online, we only have a target country and you’re luck to get any Lego there.

I don’t like the chances of seeing it online. From my experience with online shopping for Lego, the big chains like Target, Big W and K-Mart have become very lacking with a supply of Lego online. They may even show the set but tell you that you have to go to the store to get it. What you could do though is call around Targets either the day before the sale or on sale day. I’ve managed to purchase a couple of sets I was after over the phone, using my credit card and it was even in a different state than me. Not all Targets will do it, but some do.

Would be good to know the exact price come the 22nd. Now that the sets are already in store (seen at Target Melbourne and Highpoint), it would help decide whether to pull the trigger and avoid missing out and just get it now.

Just went to Target Melbourne CBD and they had none. Have they sold out already even at RRP?

Target stores may have but the stock away before the sale. With both of these featured in the catalogue Target should have stock of them when the sale starts.
