We were told that the Exo Suit set was going to be decommissioned back in February, but it appears that they are still taking up space in a warehouse somewhere.
In an attempt to clear stock LEGO has reduced the price of the set to just $35.00 (down from $49.99) which won’t meet the threshold for free shipping, but may just be worth adding to a larger order.
When the Exo Suit was first announced we expected that it was going to be a hit, but it seems that it didn’t sell as well as many expected.
There are also a few other items on sale including one other set (60044 Mobile Police Unit down from $49.99 to $34.99).
So this shouldn’t be in the “Hard to Find” category, but rather the “Hard to Sell”? Am I right……………

Looks like Australia lego store getting screwed over again. The “30% off sale” is 3 items for us and 3 pages of items for UK! Mainly chima and agents but also including smaller Lego movie sets 🙁
@Badger – it is a little bit odd, but if you add the exo suit to your bag it brings it up at the sale price, but is listed under Ideas as the full price (which is where I added it from).
FYI – Went on site and realised how many items were now retired. I wanted the 79018 – but it was also retired (need the dragon). The, as always, extraordinary Lego service providers said they only had a short licence deal – and were out of stock. However, I was able to snap one up on ebay – slightly less – as a buy it now – before prices sky rocket. This may also be of interest to someone who, like me, waited a little too long…
Now the shop has more items on sale, including Ultra Agents, Legends of Chima and also the business card holder! And after the Exo-Suit appears to be out of stock!
