Hi, I have been watching my cart for the last 2 days (since 12:00am Aug 1) and still no 5002943 Winter Soldier has been added at all. The banner is up and I received the promotional email but no Winter Soldier in Cart. I changed region to UK and still no winter soldier. Does anyone know what is going on with this promotion?
Yeah, they’re all out. They were only up for a couple hours. They were probably just the left overs from the old promo. Which is good in a way, considering people had to shell out $500 for the heli yo get it last time :p
Looks like they may be offering the Friends set as an alternative – I added a Ferris Wheel to my bag and the Friends Red Carpet bonus was added too.
I will try and find out what is going on today. I suspect they sold out quicker than expected.
Thanks for the reply guys. I find it hard to believe they sold out straight away as I have been regularly checking and refreshing my cart since the promo started plus this is a UK/EU promo as well. Australia and UK share the same stock quantity and promotions so due to time different zones we are 9 hours ahead so new sets and promos are often available to us first. Although sometimes things are not available on time in Aus and become available 9 hours late when it starts in uk. Either way if the Promo only lasted a few hours here in Aus then that means it was sold out before it even started in UK/EU. So UK customers would have missed out 100%. Plus this was a 2 week promotion so surely Lego had enough stock to last more than a few hours. I think this is just an error. I will call Lego tonight when their customer service is open again, unfortunately they were closed when promotion started.
It’s quite disappointing actually the promo hadn’t even run for a full day and sold out already. You would think Lego would have made enough stock to run for at least half of the promo date. Calling up customer service was a pain as I had to wait over 15mins just get my call answered by a very rude person on the other end.
Hi Guys, got some bad and good news. I didn’t believe the information that Lego Aus supplied regarding Winter Soldier Promo being Sold out in few hours game over, because customers including myself had been trying to get a winter soldier promo in our cart since the minute it began and failed so surely stock could not have been that limited.
So first just to clear a few things up, the Friends Poly Bag has been available for any orders over $100 for a couple of weeks and originally had nothing to do with the Winter Soldier Promo.
Now here is the bad news.. I spoke to the Lego guys in the UK as they deal with all our stock and orders as we are a branch of the EU Shop@home and the UK customer service reps are super friendly and are awesome to deal with and always know exactly whats going on or speak to someone first hand who does.
So basically the Winter Soldier Promo is real and did become available for the first morning in Aus and hours before it even started in UK but there was a major stuff up with their supply delivery.
They didn’t receive barely any (100 or so) of the Winter Soldier PolyBags they were supposed to but instead received a heap more of the Friends Polybag that had already been available. So only a very select few manage for the winter soldier to show up in cart and in placed orders. So only those few will received the Winter Soldier’s that Lego had. And all other orders that placed a order with no Winter Soldier in their cart and those who have placed orders since the promotion was removed will unfortunately not Receive a Winter Soldier Polybag.
Now here is the good news, it’s not game over yet… As it was only a lack of supply with their delivery error, this promotion will indeed be up and running for Aus and UK/EU again in the near future when they receive their original dedicated stock. So keep an eye out in the next couple of weeks for a Winter Soldier Promo Banner!!
