We’ve been hanging out for a Double VIP offer at the Australian online LEGO store for most of October and it looks like it’s finally active. There is no mention of it on the store page or the VIP promotions page but if you add an item to your cart you may notice in the checkout page that the double VIP point offer is now active.
Update: The VIP Promotions page now has the official details of this offer. From October 14th to 31st you will get double VIP points on all orders. Points are attributed to the account once payment is received
If you are going to place an order be sure to check the VIP point amount before confirming; during the double VIP point offer you should get 1 point for every $0.75 spent. A $100 order should earn you 133 points.
If you are hanging out for the Christmas Train set, you may want to hold off until October 23rd.

There have been a few people asking about the train. I’ve just posted the details in a separate article – Should be getting the train from October 23rd to November 20th. Gingerbread house might be after that.

Assuming the dates on http://shop.lego.com/en-AU/LEGO-Star-Wars-free-posters is correct, the Episode 3 star wars poster will be available from tomorrow, for a week. Unfortunately it doesn’t overlap with the train offer.
It is now on the VIP page. Ends 31st October.

Please let them get Wall-E back before this ends… I have been waiting for this for a decent size order…
oh and for anyone else hoping to include Wall-e – I just called Lego and they said he had been taken away for a couple of weeks by the developers (which may mean good news for the neck piece – the lady didn’t elaborate on that point), and she was unsure as to when he would be back to purchase or even when or if Wall-E launched to retail stores – as apparently he should have by now 🙁
I’m assuming you can’t use existing VIP points to earn 2x VIP points? In regards to WALL-E availability he will show up in retail stores at some point, and if timed right, you should be able to get it during 20% off sales. That’s much better value than 2x VIP points and without the exorbitant shipping costs from S@H. I would wait…if you can.
oh yes, certainly intend to wait. The fact that is a Disney licence is what makes it fine, I am hoping, as they should have that for a while. As long as it is before Christmas 🙂
