Somebody at the Canadian Toys R Us web team is about to be in trouble. The site has just unintentionally revealed details of the rumoured Ghostbusters HQ set. Note the attached image is not off the set.
There had been rumours about this set for a little while now and we’ve held off posting about them until there was something more substantial to share. These details are certainly more substantial.
This information seems legitimate and it’s unlikely that Toys R Us Canada has fabricated a LEGO leak. Even still there is a chance these details aren’t final.
Here is the product description:
Recreate iconic Ghostbusters scenes with the 2-story Firehouse Headquarters, featuring laboratory, living quarters, containment unit and much more. Capture the ghosts with the proton packs and restore order, or solve other supernatural cases! Includes 9 minifigures: Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore, Janine Melnitz, Dana Barrett, Louis Tully, Library Ghost and Zombie Driver.
There were also some additional details:

- Turn the librarian old lady into a scary ghost with the double-sided face and extra wig! Run tests on Louis in the lab to see if he’s possessed!
- Suspend ghosts around the building’s exterior with attachable transparent arms. Dodge the slime oozing up through cracks in the pavement.
- Measures over 14″ (36cm) high, 9″ (25cm) wide and 14″ (38cm) deep.
There are no images but it’s clear from the set details that this is going to be an impressive set.
According to Toys R Us the Canadian price is $399.99. That is the same Canadian price as the Helicarrier, which is $499.99 in Australia. We’ll likely be paying at least $500-$550 for the Ghostbusters HQ when it is released.

It sounds impressive. I just hope that it is actually 3 stories tall like the picture not 2 stories as per the description and the official version doesn’t cut a level out to save costs…
