Huge LEGO Christmas Tree Heading To Melbourne

Melbourne LEGO fans are in for a treat this Christmas season. LEGO have just sent through word that Federation Square will be home to the largest LEGO Christmas Tree in the Southern Hemisphere.

After its debut in Sydney last year the tree will be featuring some new elements. Twinkling proudly on top this year, will be a stunning new star personally designed and built by LEGO Master Builder Chris Steininger and his family, who are flying down under from the USA to join in the Aussie Christmas celebrations.

The has a few extra Aussie additions this year as well: cricket bat- wielding elves, mischief-making kookaburras and the merry man himself, Santa Claus.

If you are in town you’ll also be able to check out a nightly light show set to classic Christmas Carols we all love.

LEGO Master Builder Chris Steininger will officially launch the LEGO Christmas Tree on Friday 27 November at Federation Square.

If you weren’t already feeling the Christmas Spirit LEGO have also produced this cute stop-motion video about the event. Federation Square looks great in LEGO.
