Those LEGO Slippers Are Real, But You Can’t Buy Them

You may have seen a few posts on social media lately about LEGO slippers that are designed to protect your feet from random floor bricks.

Usually with those sort of posts it’s wise to have a fair bit of skepticism. Social media is notorious for hoaxes and things that are a little less than true. These LEGO slippers are different – they are a real product! The bad news is that it’s really unlikely that you’ll be able to get hold of a pair.

The thickly padded slippers are produced by in conjunction with advertising company Brand Station as part of a French LEGO Christmas promotion. Only 1500 pairs of the slippers have been produced, and they will be sent out randomly to LEGO customers who create a Christmas Wish List on the French LEGO store site.

Who knows, with the viral popularity of these slippers LEGO might decide to make them a real product, but for now it seems unlikely these are going to be showing up in stores. There’s always LEGO Crocs…
