There had been some rumours of a large Batman set based on the classic TV series, but until now there was very little evidence of it existing.
Now thanks to a Facebook user, we have pictures of the front and back of the box. Hopefully LEGO will release some official details now that it has been discovered.
The set looks huge, with the Batcave, Batmobile and even a Batcopter. With the more serious take on comic book characters lately it’s surprising to see LEGO celebrate the cheesy campness of the classic series. We can’t wait to see more of this set.
I don’t really have much interest in the full set, but would have loved the classic Batmobile if they’d done that separately. Bit of a shame to see it bundled up with such a massive set.
Maybe it is just me, but if a set based on the classic Batman TV series includes a helicopter it needs to also include a shark to recreate that famously silly episode with the shark attached to Batman’s leg and the use of “Bat Spray Shark Repellent”. A truly ridiculous episode.
I think that may have been the 1966 movie? But yes.
This is up on the AU Lego site now – RRP of $399.99
Yep – I just posted the official details 🙂
