LEGO have just released the results of the LEGO Ideas review for the second half of 2015.
After a previous review lead to no new products it seemed entirely possible that this review may have the same result. Luckily that isn’t the case at all – there are actually two products that will be produced.
Caterham Super Seven
This project perfectly captures the classic British sports car in LEGO. Hopefully the final set will look as good as the submitted version.
Adventure Time
These brick built Adventure Time characters look awesome and are likely to be a hit with fans of the wacky show. If this one sells well it could potentially lead to future sets – LEGO do have a good relationship with Cartoon Network.
You can check out the announcement video below.
Also, commiserations to Australian Brent Waller on his Stay Puft project not passing review. We suspect the existence of Ghostbusters as a theme caused problems there.
Yawn
Adventure time is lame and I will not be interested in this, the car however is awesome..
Adventure Time I get. Although I’m not a fan it’s hugely popular and will probably sell very well. Caterham Super Seven I don’t get at all. As good as these cars are as replicas they don’t have the same fan base as say Ferrari or Porsche. As for Stay Puft I expect to see it as an official, non-Ideas, set as per the Ghostbusters Firehouse. Although Lego have just released it as Dimensions playable figure so that could explain the Ideas set not passing review.
