Towers of Tomorrow Exhibit At Ipswich Art Gallery

LEGO fans in the greater Brisbane area looking for something to do these school holidays have a new activity to add to their list. After starting out in Sydney the Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO Bricks exhibit has now made it’s way to the Ipswich Art Gallery.

The show features twelve iconic towers from Australian and Asian cities masterfully recreated using LEGO bricks at 1:200 scale. Locals will recognise Brisbane’s own Infinity Tower and the Gold Coast’s Q1. Also on display are Melbourne’s Eureka Tower and the Sydney Tower.

International buildings include Malaysia’s Petronas Twin Towers and China’s tallest building Shanghai Tower.

The creations on display are all the work of Australia’s Certified LEGO Professional Ryan McNaught.

You will also have a chance to build your own mini architectural creations to add to the skyline.

The exhibit runs from Saturday March 25th until Sunday July 9th at the Ipswich Art Gallery on d’Arcy Doyle Place; a pedestrian mall section of Nicholas Street between Brisbane and Limestone Streets in the Ipswich CBD. You can find out how to get there on the gallery’s website.

There are 4 sessions per day, with tickets costing just $5 per person. Session times are 10am-11:30am; 11:30am-1pm; 2pm-3:30pm; 3:30pm-5pm. Entry is free for children under 3.

Bookings are essential and can be made via the website. Click here to book your session.
