Police Charge Two People Over LEGO Theft

The continued popularity of LEGO has unfortunately made it a popular product for criminals looking to make a quick buck. It’s one of the reasons that so many sets now have boxes damaged by security wire. LEGO thieves are literally ruining it for the rest of us.

Over the weekend NSW police raided the house of two people in Vineyard and successfully recovered an assortment of LEGO sets that were reported missing from retailers near Botany Bay. A 28 year old woman has been charged with four counts of larceny and a 48 year old man has been charged with another three counts of stealing.

According to NSW Police the sets were still in new condition, so it seems unlikely these were LEGO fans in desperate need of parts for a MOC.

The pair have been released on bail until their next court appearance later this month.
