Interesting choice of subject matter – Would this appeal to anyone who wasn’t a Man U fan? Looks to be a very accurate model though, but I don’t think it’s one for me.

To me this seems like a missed opportunity for Lego. I think it would have been a great idea to do a generic sports stadium Creator Expert set for which the field could have been adjusted to suit soccer, rugby, American football, or even athletics. Even better if it could have also enabled oval grounds for cricket and AFL. That would have ensured global appeal.

It seems to be somewhat modular so that would’ve been very nice to change the sports

I agree with Eudrup, I think Man U fans are most likely to buy this set. If you support another team you definitely wouldn’t buy the set. Myself I would love to see Anfield ( Liverpool FC ) introduced. Interesting idea.

My understanding is that ManU are beloved by their fans but loathed by virtually everyone else. Not sure how this set is going to have much appeal beyond half of Manchester although I guess their will be fans scattered throughout the world who might pick it up.

Looks quite true to the source but it also looks like a repetitive build that I wouldn’t enjoy. Or really enjoy looking at after. The new bookstore on the other hand looks fun.

I hope this is a first of many sports grounds. MCG, Twickenham, Cardiff Arms Park, Murrayfield, Wimbledon, Anfield, Azteca, San Siro, Olympiastadion, Camp Nou, Lansdowne road, Wembley, maybe even Lang park. There are plenty of iconic stadiums to build.
I am excited, although I’ll wait for it to be on sale…. this said, if they did the MCG, I’d buy it straight away and cover it in Richmond stickers….

Well, being an AFOL and a Manchester United fan this is a no brainer. Two of my favourite things combined so yeah, will be definately picking this one up. Although may wait for it to on sale or buy it when there is a GWP promotion before I splash out $450.00 ….. Expensive, but a must have for me.
