Catching Up

As you may have noticed there haven’t been a lot of updates happening on the site for a while. Due to some personal circumstances I have taken a bit of time off but I am planning to get back in to things. Here’s a quick look at some of the stuff that’s happening in the LEGO world that you may have missed.

TOLL Gets Hacked

LEGO’s Australian shipping partner TOLL has suffered a major hack which caused all sorts of drama for LEGO shipments. I am honestly not even sure if they are fully back up and running.

Where Are The Sales?

I haven’t been following it as closely as usual but there doesn’t seem to have been any great sales happening lately? It’s not a huge shock for this time of the year but a little something would have been good.

Easter Promo Is Now Live

Two More LEGO Ideas Sets Pass Review

LEGO Ideas has been on a roll lately with some of the best sets. Two more will be hitting shelves some time in the future – Medieval Blacksmith and Winnie The Pooh. I am particularly keen to see the Blacksmith.

Hope both you and your family are well, good to see you getting back into things. Lego Masters US has started now with Will Arnett hosting, has a very strong feel of the AU how with a little more dramatisation. Was wondering if you knew anything about which shops are getting exclusive sets? Target has the big Jurassic Park set but really hanging out for that Batmobile lol!!

Hope all is now well with you, have certainly missed your posts. You’re right about the sales, not much around at all, but I did get 42100 at 30% off from Myer after Christmas.

Spoke to Lego yesterday via their website. TOLL is back up and running but older orders are still yet to be shipped. Have 2 orders, one was 20 days ago, one was yesterday.. Yesterdays order is already shipped and the nearly 3 weeks order is still in the warehouse. They said that they hope to clear the backlog this week.

Welcome back, Michael, hope all is well. It’s good to see you again. We’ve also had the announcement of Dots and the teasing of the big Technic Lambo.

PS, very keen to get the ISS, but waiting on a worthwhile GWP. Not keen on that Easter Pod but I understand they are collectible – I remember our kids used to collect Polly Pockets many years ago ;).

Welcome back Michael, hope all is well. Specials have been hit and miss, although I did pick up the UCS Star Destroyer from DJs at 25% off less another 8% using discount on vouchers so ~$750.

There was an absolutely bananas 30% off on the Star Destroyer at the Chadstone Discovery Centre (Melbourne) a week or so ago. Their socials would be worth keeping eye on for Melbourne people in case they repeat it.

I am looking forward to seeing the Ideas Blacksmith too, I voted for that set 🙂

The ISS I ordered on the 1st got dispatched yesterday. They refunded my express delivery as VIP points, may be worth people asking about.

Amazon haven’t had a “sale” but they’ve had some individual very good prices recently, so it’s worth keeping an eye on any set they have you’re interested in. I got 42099 just after Christmas at just on 40% off.
