So long 2020, you sucked

What a year.

I am sure most people would agree that 2020 was a year full of challenges. That was no exception for me and by extension Bricking Around.

At the start of the year I had to step away from the site for a while as I dealt with a personal matter. It took a while for me to get back to things and to be honest the site isn’t back to where I wanted it to be going in to 2020.

Of course there was also a global pandemic. Being from Brisbane this wasn’t as bad as it could have been and was for others. I hope that the situation in NSW improves rapidly.

I want to thank each and every Bricking Around reader who came to the site in 2020. It honestly means a lot knowing that people might enjoy what I’m doing here.

What’s the plan for 2021?

More timely reviews

Looking at my pile of Jan 1st review sets I’m not holding out a lot of hope for this one but it’s good to have goals. Hopefully in 2021 I can get reviews out before they become irrelevant.

Videos

I really want to start producing video content in 2021. I know I’m not going to be the next great YouTube LEGO personality but I want to try and share my views on stuff in a new format.

Engaging content

My goal is always for people to enjoy what I’m doing, so in 2021 I really want to create content that is fun and interesting and worthy of sharing.

Great sales coverage

LEGO sales are the bread and butter of Bricking Around and I really want to refocus my efforts on getting the Bricking Around community the best LEGO deals possible.

Fun

LEGO is meant to be fun. So more than anything in 2021 I want to have fun with LEGO.

Thank you! Thoroughly enjoy your sense of humour and the little bit extra it brings to each review. I am sure that will shine through in your videos !

Thanks for year and all the work you’ve done to keep us informed on the Aussie side of things LEGOwise. Keep up your humorous (while honest) approach to your reviews. I look forward to seeing where 2021 takes Bricking Around.

Happy New Year everyone, stay safe and build on!

Honestly, I don’t care if your reviews arrive on release date, it’s great when your reviews of a set I’d forgotten about gets posted with your own unique take on the sets!
