I am going to throw out some names; 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery, 92176 Apollo Saturn V, 10266 Apollo 11 Lunar Lander. Those are some impressive sets and having all 3 on display is going to get anybody in the mood for [censored]. But those 3 sets are going to set you back $630. That’s a lot of potential date nights you are blowing.

Why bother when you can pick up 3 copies of 31117 Space Shuttle Adventure for about $180?

“But Michael, that set is way smaller than those big ones!” you say. Well to that I say… maybe that isn’t a creator 3-in-1 set. Maybe it’s a Creator Expert set that is just further away? It’ll be our little secret.

To pull this off you are going to need to ditch the minifigure that comes with 31117. If you have that next to the set it is going to be much harder to pass off as a better set that is just further away. You could pick up some microfig spacemen to pump up the illusion.

Also, it’s time to pull out your spare bricks because you’ve got a moc to make. Combine your 3 copies of 31117 with a scaled down version of another build and your potential partner will not only be even more impressed, the extra build will really help set the scale.

I am not suggesting a relationship built on a lie is a good thing, but some people don’t have a lot else going for them, you know? Also if you never actually say they are better sets it’s not really lying.
