After accidentally shipping the set to customers in New Zealand LEGO have today officially revealed details of the latest must have set for Harry Potter fans… 76405 Hogwarts Express™ – Collectors’ Edition.
This 5129 piece set features 20 minifigures from across the entire Harry Potter series. There are 5 scenes represented within the build from the first meeting of Harry, Ron and Hermione to the very last scene of the last book.
The set features both the train and a decent section of the platform to go with it.

Looks great! But I would have preferred a smaller scale with a second passenger carriage.
I agree, I was hoping for a working model at Lego train scale. Surely one of the Lego youtubers will MOC one for us… Given how many pieces must be consumed to build the track, this is extremely expensive when compared, say, to the Disney Train and Station ($A500, motorised, two carriages, complete station).
It’s nice but not $799.00 nice.
