While pictures surfaced earlier this week this Disney 100 celebration set is now listed on the Australian LEGO store. This means we now have local price and release information, including the fact that you can pre-order this one right now.
I am not the biggest Disney fan so the two previous castles haven’t really appealed to me but I am a huge fan of this one. It looks like a sophisticated display piece.
The set has 811 pieces and comes with Walt Disney himself, Mickey and Minnie, a LEGO Bambi and a LEGO Dumbo.
The most interesting part of the set may just be the included film strip featuring stills from 20 historic Disney films. People who are interested in the history of animation will also enjoy the 3 printed screens showing how Disney’s The Old Mill short was made.
You can pre-order this set now from LEGO.com, with the official release September 1st. Australian RRP is $169.99.
