Kmart are trying an interesting approach to their Black Friday sale. There are only 6 LEGO sets included but the discounts are big. Every set is at least 50% off RRP. The 6 sets included are also a pretty good line-up. Here’s the details.

So now I’ve spent $20 joining one pass to find the items are out of stock. Can I get a one pass refund?

I don’t know why I keep biting at K Mart’s special pricing. I can’t recall the last time I ordered something they said was in stock that actually was. If this were some small retailer you’d write it off as a scam, but it’s Wesfarmers for goodness sake. Surely they can manage an inventory system by now?
Ordered Optimus Prime for C&C at my local at 10:20am after being told it was in stock. Received cancellation at 10:45am.
I sometimes wonder if K Mart’s only business model is the use of customers’ money between the time they bill you (instant) and the time the refund comes through.
I bought Optimus Prime at 8:01. Received a refund Saturday night. If I couldn’t get this set one minute after it went on sale… did kmart ever have any stock to sell in the first place? Not impressed
